The Rhino-Rack Vortex Roof Rack gives you solid support for all kinds of cargo thanks to its full-length aluminum crossbars. Each bar measures 49" long x 3-1/8" wide x 1-3/16" tall, giving you plenty of usable space for multiple accessories. The tough aluminum construction holds up under heavy use, with a 165-lb weight capacity that’s perfect for kayaks, cargo boxes, or camping gear.
Roof racks can sometimes hum at highway speeds, but the aerodynamic shape of these black Vortex bars helps calm that down. Rubberized Vortex strips in the top channels help reduce drag and wind noise while sealing out the elements. The result is a smoother ride where you can actually enjoy the drive instead of listening to the rack whistle.
No matter what kind of adventure you’re planning, this rack gives you options. The aero-style crossbars work with accessories that mount in the top channels or clamp around the bars. That means you can easily switch between kayak carriers, bike racks, ski mounts, or a cargo box whenever your plans change.
Security matters when your gear is sitting on top of your car. Integrated plastic locks in the crossbars help deter theft of channel-mount accessories, and lockable cover plates on the legs secure the entire rack system. If you want extra protection, you can upgrade to all-metal locks (RRVA-LEC4 – sold separately) for added peace of mind.
This complete roof rack system—2 Vortex crossbars, four 2500 Series legs, and a custom fit kit—installs directly on a naked roof for a stable, secure mount. Each part is built for durability with a limited lifetime warranty on the crossbars and 5-year warranties on both the legs and fit kit. Once it’s on, it feels sturdy enough to trust for every adventure.

Still happy. Theres a whistle, but you can fix it with a bit of foam insulation in the bottom of the rail.

Still rock solid after a year. Very happy with the Rack. My daughter has used it from time to time over the past year when something wont fit in her car, and shes had no problems with it at all.
